Rolles Gracie is set to fight in AOW 14. Both Daisuke Yamaji and Andre Gusmao have joined the Dominance MMA Fight Team. Ali is in talks with a major sponsor. More news to come...

The roster of fighters is growing at Dominance MMA Management - Ali has just added three fighters from Poland - Michal Materla, Jan Blachowicz and Mamed Khalidov. Also two more fighters from Team Renzo Gracie - David Branch and Joe Sampieiri. Check out the site for news, photos, etc!

I had two awesome weekends in Cape Cod with my student, Juliano Banana Coutinho and in Dedham at Gracie Barra Boston Jiu Jitsu. Thanks to everybody for working hard and training even harder. Looking forward to seeing all of you on the mats again soon!

Just got off the phone with my student, Juliano 'Banana' Coutinho. He is a Black Belt in Cape Cod and has just celebrated a new Academy. Now, his academy has a full size cage for MMA training as well as 1st class Jiu-Jitsu training. I'll be there on Saturday April 11th for a seminar. We'll also be at the Mohegan Sun the day before for a fight. See you then...

Also, staying in the New England area, I'll be giving a two day seminar at Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Newton, MA near Boston. It'll be a Gi seminar one day and a no-Gi seminar the next. See you then...

It wasn't your average Monday. Today at 11am Renzo Gracie Academy was packed full with every Black Belt training for the Pan Ams. I thought this was something special. Then I was so happy to see that it would be Renzo coaching the training. If that wasn't enough, Ricardo Almeida and George St. Pierre were there, too. It was a great day and a great training.

Training with Fabio Leopoldo is like training for a war. Fabio and I pulled out all the stops today at one of his regular training centers. From boxing, to Muay Thai and then MMA, we trained as if we each had a fight coming up. Many thanks to Shawn Williams and his excellent students at Hollywood Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The seminar was a real success and I totally enjoyed meeting everyone and training with the students. The students all look great and their training is impressive! Matt Ruskin made the trip from Las Vegas for this seminar, too.

Both Rafael 'Sapo' Natal and Jamal Patterson were victorious in their respective MMA bouts a couple weeks ago. Sapo knocked out his opponent and Jamal submitted his opponent with a guillotine. They are true warriors and have shown once again why they are champions.

I'll be giving two more seminars here in sunny California. This Friday, I'll be at Fight Lab from 6:00 to 8:00pm. And this Sunday, I'll be at Shawn Williams' Hollywood BJJ from 12:00 until 3:00pm. I hope to see everybody there!!!

It was another great seminar and I was happy to see a lot of Rodrigo's students there and some old friends, too. Thanks to everybody who made it a success!

Matt Ruskin, a Renzo Gracie student, MMA fighter and great friend, is now a Purple Belt. We promoted Matt to Purple Belt today after the Seminar. Matt is training hard in Las Vegas and getting ready for his next fight! Congratulations, Matt, you deserve it!

The seminar today was awesome, the academy was packed and the students really were super. Fabio, Erik Klinger and Raul Montolfo were instructing the students along with me. Fabio's wife, Dini, was training as well. It was a full house! After the seminar, a bunch of us took a ride along Pacific Coast Highway to Neptune's Net. The drive was amazing and the food was great!

California is fantastic! I'm here to do a few seminars and to catch up with great friends. Fabio and Dini Leopoldo. It's so great to see them again. Fabio is a Black Belt and he and his wife have Gracie Barra Ventura. Last nite, I did a seminar at Gracie Barra Tri County with Raul Montolfo. Raul is a Brown Belt under Carlinhos Gracie, Jr. The seminar was awesome and I was happy to meet more great students.

Rafael 'Sapo' Natal will be fighting in the Ring of Combat this Friday for the belt. His training has been tough - Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, cross-training, etc - and he is really looking great. Jamal Patterson will be fighting on Saturday at the UWC Man O' War. His training has been intense as well, with Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, cross-training, etc - and he is looking tip top. Our Uncle passed on January 29th at the age of 95. Helio was the pioneer of MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, the biggest champion of all times. Thank you for your guidance, without you, there would be no MMA today.
